Artist Statement;

Use what talents you have: the woods would have little music if no birds sang their song except those who sang best.

--Reverend Oliver G. Wilson

         A passion for painting began while working in the Graphic Design field. Combining ideas to develop concepts with various materials and techniques has always been a creative, stimulating energy from which to work. With the use of mark-making, layering, pictorial depth and at times collage, I am able to develop an abstract narrative for the viewer to decipher. I am often drawn to a palette that emphasizes complimentary color combinations. The process of putting paint to surfaces in different and successful ways is challenging with endless outcomes to relish and agonize over.

         A constant investigation and curiosity serve as the foundation for my work…allowing for imagination and inspiration to thrive. My intention is to communicate an uplifting, sometimes humorous mood and to interact with the viewer.
